Many, many thanks for all of your efforts to give us such a lovely time watching. You are one of my favourites and I have saved a lot of pictures. I'll keep watching - I'm glad to hear the mom is taking a break.

Love the cam! I used to live in Oceanside. Had a hummingbird feeder there year round. Saw mostly Anna's hummingbirds there. Always wondered where all the hummingbirds came from when they would SWARM the feeder. Seems they raise young all year round there.

I just discovered your site and am hooked already! Thank-you. We only get ruby-throated hummingbirds where I live and although I've looked for years I've never found a nest.

Your April 7, 2008 video is a classic. I loved the way the second sibling gave the first a shove but then hesitated so long when it was his turn.

I didn't realize that there were two nests. I thought that she went back to her old nest. Now what does she do? Does she feed the two that are still there although I can see they are ready to go? My goodness what as busy little bird. Many thanks for everything. My apologies for doing this your guest book but my email isn't working properly.

Thank you for sharing the honor of watching the hummingbirds grow up. I have rescued 2 hummingbirds. That had gotten either to weak or to cold to fly then I turnd them back into the wild after they got strong enough to let go.

I was going to ask if that was the same female and I see Rhoda from Indiana answered my question. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I have a friend in Montreal, Quebec that I have forwarded this site on to her. We talk back forth every day commenting on this. Such a treat. Thank you again.

Wow. I wish I would have found this a few days sooner, before the chicks fledged. Added to favorites for next time though.
It was like deja vu seeing your page. Is that a Mr Lincoln rose bush? Beautiful! I have one exactly like that in my yard, but I'm growing spiders for now. The cats won't leave the hummers alone
Great to see a local cam, thanks. Great job.

Joe,
I am keeping up with your hummingbird family even though I'm in Minnesota for 3 weeks to be with a new baby in our family. I actually almost caught the first hatching on Friday, and am so impressed with Momma Hummer!

I can't see the second egg anymore. Do we have two chicks now?

Thanks so much! It's really delightful to see a hummingbird nesting.

We see a few hummingbirds (mostly broad-tailed) in the mountains but I've never seen one in Fort Collins. Do both Anna's parents sit on the nest?

Joe,
"Lest anyone forget my hummingbirds..."? There's no forgetting your hummingbirds. They are in my head forever. Thank you for sharing them in all the ways you do. I will keep checking in for new video clips and maybe a new nest some day.

I see today that a big new red rose has grown. Maybe it's a Christmas Rose!! "Lo, how a Rose e'er blooming from tender stem hath sprung!..."
